Zahra' Langhi

Zahra' Langhi is a Libyan senior mediation advisor, former UN diplomat, and League of Arab States expert. A scholar of religion, violence, and reconciliation in the Middle East, she is an expert in political and national dialogues. Over 15 years, she has contributed to peace processes across Libya, Yemen, and the Arab region, from Track I negotiations to community-based mediation. She cofounded the Libyan Women’s Platform for Peace, advancing inclusive democratic transition in Libya. She has received several international awards and recognitions, including being named by The Guardian as one of “Seven Women to Watch in Global Politics” and receiving the 2025 TAKREEM Award for Humanitarian and Civic Excellence. She champions locally rooted, compassionate approaches to peacemaking and mediation.
