Lalla Kaber El Ghallawi is a Mauritanian filmmaker, sign language interpreter, and social activist. She heads the “Rama” Organization for Social Services. She has dedicated her work to supporting the Deaf community and empowering women, using cinema and audiovisual production to bring their experiences to wider audiences. Her work addresses issues affecting Deaf people and women, combines artistic expression with community engagement, and is driven by her belief in every person’s right to understand, express themselves, and participate.
